Toddler Travel Products
We have found that traveling with a toddler has its new challenges-we’re no longer stressing as much about milk & bottle feeding, but now it’s all about snacks… we aren’t as worried about diaper changes, but how do we keep a busy body entertained while he sits on the plane? In our travels over the past few months, we have found 10 key essentials we pack every time we leave the house! (Ok, it’s a lot more than 10, but we listed our top 10 at the top of this post!

10 Toddler Travel Essentials
Below you will find descriptions of all of the essentials we love to pack for our toddler & how we use them! Essentials are divided into four categories: Activities on the Go, Sleeping on the Go, Eating on the Go & Tools for On the Go.
Want a quick list? Here are the top 10 links:
Screen time is a highly debated topic, but when we travel, this rule goes out the window! If he can stay busy & happy, we’re happy & so is everyone else! We love our Kindle Fire Tablet because it’s easy to use, keeps a charge for a very long time & it’s toddler proof-the case is great for all those drops!
There is nothing more annoying than listening to a kids’ show when you don’t want to! These fit our toddler great & are very easy to plug right into the tablet!
Stackable Toddler Snack Container
This thing is awesome! It easily fits down the side of the diaper bag & gives a great visual for Graham to pick out what snack he wants next! The little plastic containers are easy for him to hold & easy to clean!
This is another container we pack (ready to go with a favorite snack) and we can put things from the stackable container in here when he’s ready to eat! This helps contain the mess as much as possible!
Great for milk, water, snacks & more! We like this one because the handle clips right to the stroller or another bag!
Depending on space, these are both great options! The Travel crib is so easy to set up, light & great for camping, hotels, etc.
This is on our radar as Graham is starting to hit the 30-pound weight limit on the pack n play! We have not tried this out yet, but it comes highly recommended and has a 5-star review rating on Amazon!
We love this monitor for a few reasons: it is so easy to set up (no wifi/app) and it has a great range! The battery life is awesome too!
Another great product that keeps a charge & helps our toddler sleep!
Carseat Cover & Roller Cart (or Combo Roller Bag)
Carrying the car seat through the airport is not a fun endeavor! We recently got a rolling cart that we can easily strap the car seat to & it makes our lives so much easier! We found that if it’s branded for baby travel, it’s much more expensive! The linked one above works great with our seat! We always gate-check our stroller & usually our seat as well (if we don’t bring it on board with us!) We like to use a bag to store these. It also allows some more packing space for diapers, etc.! In hindsight, knowing how much we’ve used this system, I would have probably bought a combo storage bag on wheels from the get-go!
Baby Carriers
Depending on the type of trip you’re taking, a baby carrier is great!
We almost always carry this with us, no matter what we’re doing & where we’re going! It’s great for hands-free movement in the airport if we’re walking around a city or taking a quick hike! This carrier is easy to pack, light, and is rated up to 50 lbs!
Osprey Poco Framed Hiking Carrier
Hiking is one of the activities we almost always do when we travel! We love our Osprey Poco! Graham sleeps great in it & it fits both of our body types well! This is an easy item to gate-check & carry on too! If we know we’re going to gate check, we use this travel cover!
