9 Baby Swim Essentials
We are very lucky in that my parents bought a house in Englewood, Florida a few years back! We have enjoyed many trips to the Florida house, but now that we have Graham it is one of our favorite places to go and relax. Graham now has a favorite activity: Swimming. He just loves splashing in the water & relaxing in his float. Safety is key when spending time in the water & in the sun, so we put together our top items to ensure a fun & safe day at the pool!

9 Baby Pool Essentials
#2 & 3 Rash Guards and Reusable Swim Diapers
When I started my search for swim diapers, I thought for sure we’d just use the disposable ones, but they didn’t come in very small sizes which sent me on a search for reusable ones on Amazon. That’s when I realized that the reusable swim diapers are so much more cost effective. Right now, Graham only has two hour (or less) wake windows, so he’s in & out of the pool pretty frequently, which would mean a lot of diapers. These can be used over and over & are great because you can adjust the size! I paired them with these rash guard shirts to keep the sun off of his arms! Since babies aren’t supposed to use sunscreen (per my pediatrician) until 6 months, I wanted to make sure to get long sleeves.
I have not had a lot of experience with this since Graham is so young, but the mom’s who we travel with love this sunscreen. The stick form makes for easy application!
6. Portable Fan
When hanging out poolside it can obviously get pretty warm. This fan is great to keep the little one cool because it can hook onto virtually anything. It is rechargeable with a USB cord and also works well on stroller walks, at the beach or park.
7. Pool Toys
On our most recent trip, Graham loved these pool toys. They float and are fun to squeeze and squirt water. I especially like these because they twist open to clean-so no mold! They also make great bath toys, or are just fun for tummy time too. The soft material makes them perfect for teething age too!
